(Year 4 Football) Kew College vs. Notting Hill Prep
On Thursday Kew College Year 4 played Notting Hill Prep at football. We were all very excited as this was the first match of the season. In the first half Benjamin scored, then there was some poor defending and they got one back on us. The second half was very even but we managed to hold on and at the end the score was 1-1. I think we need to work on our defence. We are looking forward to our next match.

On Thursday the 25th September we faced The Falcon School for Girls in a netball match. Kew College won the toss up. The whistle blew and Emma passed the ball straight to Rosie who tried hard to score but was unlucky and missed. Goal-attack won the ball back and she quickly shot the ball into the net, 1-0 to Kew College. We had many more attacks in the first half with Rosie scoring two goals and Kiriko four goals. The whistle blew 6-0 to Kew College. Miss Rachel and Mrs. Piskorz were very pleased with how well we were playing. In the second half we had good teamwork and lots more attacks but unfortunately we didn’t score any more goals. The final whistle blew and the game finished 6-0 to Kew College. All the girls played well and we were very happy to have won with such a margin.

(Year 5 Netball) Kew College vs. The Falcons
It was a warm afternoon at Westminster Sport Ground and Kew College were about to play a fierce match against The Falcons. The warm-up was tense because in all of our previous matches we had never beaten them before. The Falcons won the toss and took first centre pass. Let the battle commence!
In an end to end first half Kew College took the early initiative with two nets from Scout. At half time, Kew led by 2-0.
At the start of the second half, The Falcons came back hard but failed to score. This was due to some good defence from the whole team. Anna and Emma came on as substitutes and assisted Scout to a further two nets. The Falcons worked hard all game but the final score was a resounding 4-0 win to Kew College. In summary, a great all round performance.

Year 6 (Football) Kew College vs. Kew Green Prep.
On Thursday 18th September Kew College faced Kew Green Prep. Kew College won the toss and we chose to kick off. It was not long before we broke into a counter attack, as we passed the ball to Ben he kicked the ball well and it flew over the goal keepers head from the halfway line into the goal. Play soon started again and Kew Green scored from outside the box. It was halftime and Mr MacRae and Mr Applewaite gave us an encouraging talk. Inspired we ran back onto the pitch and play went on. In the last minute Monty struck a brilliant goal from the halfway line and the final score was 2-1 to Kew College. Next time we could improve on our passing and our set pieces.

(Year 6 Netball) Kew College vs. Broomfield
On Thursday 18th September the year 6 A team played a stunning netball match against Broomfield House. In the first half of the match Broomfield scored 3 fantastic goals. Kew College tried to score and skilfully succeeded. Soon a few members of the team became very tired, but tried our hardest until the whistle blew. The whistle went and we all rushed to Mrs Tabor for some tic-tacs and got back onto the court to play. We started to defend and we shot 2 more goals. The score was now 3-3. We tried our hardest to score more goals but didn’t succeed. The whistle blew for the last time and the score stayed at 3-3. We were celebrating because it was a very tough match. I think we could improve on our passing and shooting.
Clara (Year 6)
